What is Art Quest?
Art Quest is a creative space where young artists can explore drawing prompts, printable art activities, step-by-step projects, art ideas, and stories about artists.
Who is Art Quest for?
Art Quest is designed for young artists to use at home, in the classroom, or anywhere creativity happens. A grown-up can help choose activities and support younger children with reading or printing.
How can I use Art Quest at home?
Choose a Creative Quest for a ready-to-print activity, visit the Library to learn or make something new, or use the Imagination Engine when your child needs an idea. There is no single right way to explore.
How can teachers use Art Quest?
Activities can be used as lesson starters, early-finisher choices, creative warm-ups, art-centre activities, or inspiration for a longer project. You can select the resources that best fit your students and classroom.
What supplies do we need?
Most activities can begin with simple supplies such as paper, pencils, erasers, crayons, markers, or paint. Check the chosen project before starting and feel free to substitute materials you already have.
Do the activities need to be completed in order?
No. Young artists can follow their curiosity and choose any quest, lesson, artist, or prompt that interests them.
What are Quest Gems and Library Gems?
Gems are a playful way to celebrate exploring and completing activities. They are meant to encourage creative practice—not to grade, rank, or compare artists.
Does the artwork need to look like the example?
Not at all. Examples and directions are starting points. Children are encouraged to change colours, invent details, try different materials, and make each artwork their own.
Can I print the activities?
Yes. Printable quests are designed to be printed with help from a parent, caregiver, or teacher. Print settings and results may vary by device and printer.
Can I buy a physical copy of the Creative Quests?
Yes! If you would rather skip printing each activity individually, you can order a physical copy of the Creative Quests. Each volume collects a full set of quest pages in one convenient book, so young artists can start exploring right away. Look for Volume 1 in the Art Quest shop, with more volumes potentially coming in the future.
What if a child feels stuck or frustrated?
Try offering a choice, taking a short break, or focusing on one small part of the activity. Remind them that artists experiment, change their minds, and learn through mistakes.
